At Battlefield K9, our goal is to give you the perfect family companion. The best way to do that is to raise our puppies in our homes, alongside our own families!
Battlefield puppies receive structured early neurological stimulation daily, which is the introduction of various scents, sounds, and textures. In addition (and some might say more importantly), they will experience day to day life in a busy, noisy, household. They will hear televisions, music, vacuums, other dogs, big trucks, washers, dryers, playing children—the list goes on and on.
Battlefield puppies are exposed to every aspect of a full, professional groom. They will arrive home having experienced the bath, clippers, a high velocity dryer, and the handling of their face, teeth, feet, and ears.
Our puppies are socialized—safely and hygienically—with dogs and people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. They will even meet cats. They will be picked up frequently by both adults and children.
Our puppies will begin taking short outdoor excursions, weather permitting, around four weeks of age. At this same time, they will be introduced to crates. Around five weeks, we will start teaching the puppies to take treats and be engaged for training sessions. We will take the puppies for their first car ride at six weeks. At seven weeks, the puppies will go to their first vet visit for vaccinations and a wellness check. Also at seven weeks, the puppies will be temperament tested. We use this information to help us more appropriately match our puppies to the right family, based on temperament—a far more important criteria than looks!
